HOW TO: Pick a product & determine MG

The CBD industry has taken off since the 2018 Farm Bill was passed, and this has allowed more people the opportunity to use a more natural product when it comes to their health. However, finding the right dosage of CBD can be tricky for some, so we decided to make it a little easier for you by breaking it down for you to help you be able to determine how much CBD you may need per day as well as how much you are getting in the product itself.

When it comes to dosing, some CBD is better than no CBD. However, you want to be able to get the most benefits from your product to gain the most benefit for your health. To do this, you must go through a few steps to determine which product is right for you so that you will know how much of that product to take daily.

Step one-What are you wanting to gain from using CBD? Is it pain relief? Is it to help you sleep? Is it to just feel better overall? All the above??
Step two-Can you use a full spectrum product (which contains 0.3% THC) or do you need a THC free product?
Step three-How would you prefer to take the product? Would you rather have a convenient premeasured capsule you can just toss in with your other medications? Would you rather have a gummy form? Or would you rather have a tincture you would take sublingually?

By answering these questions, it will help you to determine which product to use. Once you have determined that, now its time to determine how much you will possibly need.

For a good, estimated amount you can multiply 0.25 x your weight. This will give you a round about milligrams of CBD needed per day. Those milligram amounts may decrease some if you are needing more of a milder dose and those milligrams may increase if you need more of a heavier dose. Typically, mild doses are for general overall maintenance and nausea. Moderate doses are for nausea, pain, inflammation, mild insomnia, mild anxiety, and headache. Heavy doses are for chronic pain, inflammation, insomnia, anxiety, migraines, and epilepsy, etc.

To determine how many milligrams per dropper, you would need to know how many milligrams is in the entire bottle and what size bottle the product is in.
For example, a 30ml bottle (1oz) would be equivalent to a 30-day supply if you took one full dropper every day. If the 30ml bottle contains 750mg for the entire bottle you would divide 750 by 30 and get the mg per dropper. For this example, that would give you 25mg of CBD per dropper.

This is important to know how to calculate because some consumers think they are getting 750mg of CBD every day when they are only getting 25mg per day.
When it comes to edibles, it is figured the same way. For example, if the package states 1500mg and there are 30 in the package then it would be 50mg per gummy.

A good rule to remember is START LOW AND GO SLOW. New or inexperienced consumers should always begin with a low dose until they know how its going to make them feel, especially when it comes to products such as delta 8 & delta 9 because those products can cause you to have a high feeling like pain medication or smoking marijuana.

As always, we recommend you to talk to your doctor to discuss any concerns you may have and do your research on the products you are considering consuming to make sure you are getting a legit product.
